In the current global cosmetics landscape, biodegradable makeup brushes are no longer a niche trend but a core requirement for brands aiming to fulfill ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) mandates. As leading ODM Biodegradable Makeup Brush Suppliers, we recognize that the beauty industry contributes significantly to plastic waste. Our 2024-2030 roadmap focuses on total replacement of virgin plastics with compostable polymers, FSC-certified woods, and plant-based filaments.
This whitepaper outlines the technical advancements in biodegradable materials, the macro-economic drivers for eco-friendly procurement, and how Jiasheng Industrial Co., Ltd. is positioned as a critical partner in the global supply chain.
Shenzhen Jiasheng Industrial Co., Ltd. was established in 1991. At the beginning of its establishment, we mainly produced synthetic filaments, which were widely used in hair brushes, toothbrushes, makeup brushes, false eyelashes and other fields. After years of research and development, we have accumulated rich experience in the performance of filaments and the development and application of new materials.
In 2008, we joined forces with downstream manufacturers to start the production of hair brushes, toothbrushes, makeup brushes, and finished false eyelashes. As plastics pollute the environment increasingly, we are continuously improving the service life of our products and increasing the use of recyclable, degradable and other environmentally friendly materials.
Global Expansion: In response to global geopolitical uncertainties, we are building production bases in Thailand and Vietnam in 2024 to ensure supply chain resilience.
Moving beyond petroleum-based Nylon, we utilize PLA (Polylactic Acid) and castor-oil derived polymers. These filaments provide the same "snap" and softness as traditional fibers but decompose in industrial composting conditions.
Our handles utilize FSC-certified Bamboo, Black Walnut, and proprietary "Liquid Wood" (biopolymer) that can be injection molded into ergonomic shapes without the environmental footprint of ABS plastic.
The "glue" of the brush—we use Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) Aluminum for ferrules, ensuring that the metallic components are part of a circular economy.
| Feature | Traditional Makeup Brushes | Jiasheng Biodegradable Brushes |
|---|---|---|
| Handle Material | Virgin Plastic (ABS/PS) | Bamboo, Coffee Grounds, Bio-Resin |
| Bristle Source | Petrochemical Nylon | Plant-based (Corn/Castor Oil) |
| End-of-Life | Landfill (500+ years) | Biodegradable / Compostable |
| Carbon Footprint | High Emission | Low-Carbon / Carbon Neutral Options |
Modern consumers in North America and the EU are willing to pay a 20-35% premium for "Plastic-Free" beauty tools. For global retailers, switching to biodegradable suppliers isn't just ethical—it's a defensive strategy against upcoming "Plastic Taxes" and Import Duties on non-recyclable goods.
Since establishment, we prioritized R&D, continuously trying innovative processes to improve quality and reduce carbon emissions.
From design and material selection to functional configuration, we meet personalized needs with strict quality management systems.
We control the quality from the filament stage to the final packaging.
